In these difficult times it’s nice to receive good news.
So, it is with great pleasure that Bluff Hill Motupōhue Environment Trust along with our partners Te Runanga o Awarua wish to share this news with you all:
“Yesterday we received a considerable donation from a local Bluff family”. The Urwin whanau (former owners of Urwin and Co Limited) have very generously donated $20,000 to the BHMET and our TKW Native Plant Nursery project - yes that’s right $20,000!!!

We are still in shock, this couldn’t have come at a better time for us as planning for our native plant nursery progresses and we work towards our goal of ‘Predator Free Bluff’. We hope this news brings joy to you all in these uncertain times, it certainly has brought joy to us!

On behalf of BHMET and Te Runanga O Awarua please join us in thanking the Urwin whanau for supporting our efforts to “Restore the Mauri of Motupōhue and bring back the birdsong to Bluff”
Thank you from the Trustees of BHMET
