BHMET Trustee Peter Leask and a fluffy friend
Ten years ago, the discovery of a mauled half eaten Titi on the walkway prompted the creation of the Bluff Hill Motupohue Environment Trust. Congratulations to our volunteers and our partners who have maintained their stance, their passion and commitment to ensuring a safe place for these precious birds to continue on the mainland
This year, 80 Goodnature A24 automatic traps were purchased following kind donations by Ka Mate Nga Kiore and Rakiura Tītī Island Administering Body. Our amazing volunteers put in some long hours on the hill maintaining manual traps but these auto resetting traps have reinforced our special places on Bluff Hill by being on guard 24/7.

Thank you to all our supporters
We need one of these buttons!
We try super hard to say Thank You in person for all the work, time, advice, project guidance, digging, tool donations and support we get. Its humbling to have such gifts given, to receive such support and share such passion from members of our community. It wouldnt be possible without you.
We are so grateful that organisations like our amazing sponsors and partners ( see logos below!) have trusted us to do great things with their hard earned funds. It wouldnt be possible without you.
Sometimes we receive anonymous gifts and those are just as important - Thank you! You know who you are!

The Bluff Hill Motupohue Environment Trust would like to acknowledge the overwhelming generosity of Ka Mate Nga Kiore Incorporated. Our chairperson Estelle Leask met with Morrie Trow today and was handed a cheque for close to $20,000! This generous donation will go towards the purchase of 80 new self-setting rat and stoat traps. These traps will be deployed throughout our precious titi colonies, this will also help protect other coastal and forest species.
Words cannot express our gratitude!
On behalf of the BHMET trustees and volunteers, thank you to Morrie, Robert, Tammy and the other members of the Titi Islands Committee and Ka Mate Nga Kiore (Death to the Rat) Incorporated!

The BHMET would like to acknowledge the kind donation we recently received from Urwin and Co Bluff! Our work ‘Bringing back the birdsong’ would not be possible without financial support. So to John and the team on behalf of the BHMET thank you kindly for your generous donation!
